Your Opportunity
This 6-month fixed-term contract is a unique opportunity for a clinical leader passionate about aged care to drive change and ensure the highest standards of care for residents. As the Strengthened Standards Clinical Consultant, you will play a key role in guiding Kalyra’s Residential Services through the transition to the Aged Care Strengthened Standards. Your expertise in clinical governance, compliance, and quality care will shape policies, mentor teams, and contribute to improving care outcomes across multiple sites.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead the review and development of clinical policies and procedures to align with Strengthened Standards.
- Collaborate with Residential Care Managers to ensure best practices in clinical documentation and assessment.
- Support the Clinical Governance Team in risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on accreditation, compliance, and aged care legislative requirements.
- Support the role out of education and clinical competencies
- Coach and mentor staff, driving professional development and quality care outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic projects, ensuring seamless implementation of strengthened standards.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a dedicated clinical professional with a passion for ensuring high-quality aged care services. Your ability to lead, mentor, and implement best-practice clinical processes will be essential in preparing Kalyra for the evolving aged care landscape. With strong communication skills and a deep understanding of aged care compliance, you will be critical in supporting staff and residents.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of aged care standards, compliance, and accreditation processes.
- Leadership experience in a nursing environment with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
- National Police Check, NDIS Worker Clearance, Senior First Aid Certificate, and SA Driver’s License.
- 3 x COVID-19 vaccinations and annual influenza vaccination
