Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety and Wellbeing Partner to join their People and Culture team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation of LHG’s Work Health & Safety (WHS) Strategic Plan, promote workplace wellbeing initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This role collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, strengthen risk management, and support LHG’s commitment to a safe and healthy working environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead Safety & Wellbeing Strategy – Drive LHG’s WHS and wellbeing programs, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and best practices.
  • Risk & Compliance Management – Conduct WHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to uphold a safe workplace.
  • Develop Wellbeing Initiatives – Design and deliver programs that enhance the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of employees.
  • Enhance Safety Leadership – Train and coach leaders to build their WHS capability and embed a culture of safety-first thinking.
  • Drive Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with senior leaders, WHS committees, and external bodies to implement effective safety and wellbeing solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement – Monitor legislative changes, identify risks, and introduce proactive strategies to enhance workplace safety.








What You’ll Bring:
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent experience) – Essential.
  • Proven experience in Work Health & Safety (WHS) roles, with strong knowledge of legislation, compliance, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing safety and wellbeing programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence (P2 or above) and willingness to travel between sites.
