The Role:
As an ICT Procurement and Contracts Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating procurement activities across ICT operations. You'll work closely with 10+  teams, supporting their technology needs while ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and ethical standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while developing your skills in ICT procurement within a government setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage ICT procurement processes, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Support teams in documenting procurement requirements and managing the lifecycle of ICT assets.
  • Engage with vendors, ensuring alignment with market standards and departmental needs.
  • Collaborate with specialist technical teams to understand and deliver on their procurement requirements.
  • Uphold ethical practices and demonstrate a strong commitment to integrity in all procurement activities.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, building strong relationships across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

  • ICT Expertise: Solid understanding of ICT lifecycles, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Procurement Skills: While experience in ICT procurement is ideal, the client is open to teaching the procurement side to candidates with strong ICT foundations/knowledge.
  • Ethical Integrity: High standards of ethics and integrity are non-negotiable.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about supporting teams to achieve their goals and committed to delivering results.
  • Autonomous and Mature: Ability to manage your workload independently and deliver on commitments.
  • Desirable Experience:
    • Prior exposure to vendor management and market analysis in ICT.
    • Experience in government or private sector procurement.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to ask questions and seek clarity.
